RANJINI VENKATACHARI
Narrative Fine Art in Colored Pencils
Ranjini Venkatachari is a fine artist with more than 16 years of experience working primarily in the medium of colored pencil and draws inspiration from her rich cultural heritage. Her home studio is based in San Ramon, California. Her vibrant and colorful art has been exhibited in national and international US shows. It has also been published in the Fine Art Connoisseur, American Artist, International Artist, American Art Collector, and Southwest arts magazines. She received her Atelier training at the Gage Academy of Arts in Washington under Gary Faigin.
Ranjini has also co-authored several books like - DRAW Seasons: The Ultimate Guide to Drawing Seasons in Colored Pencil, that provide expert tips and insights for those interested in drawing with colored pencils. Most recently, Ranjini’s illustration was selected as part of a curated show, MUJER (Celebrating Women’s day by PoetsandArtists) and is headed to the moon as part of The Lunar Codex time capsule organized by Dr.Samuel Peralta! The Lunar Codex uses digital and analog technology to preserve art, books, music, and more, enclosed in time capsules and launched to the Moon. It is a message in a bottle to the future. She is a lifetime member of CPSA ( Colored pencil Society of America), American Women Artist, and a juried member of the International Guild of Realism. She is the official brand ambassador for Koh-I-Noor Colored pencils in the USA.
