I hold master's degree in Fine Art from the National Taiwan Normal University. I taught East Asian brush painting and Calligraphy at a junior high school in Taiwan for over 15 years. For me, art is the way to explore the beauty of nature and humanity and share it with others. I enjoy teaching and learn a lot from working with my students.

East Asian Brush and Calligraphy Classes

East Asian Brush painting and Calligraphy is an ancient art which expresses the energy of life through the powerful strokes of bamboo brushes on a sheet of rice paper. Students will not only get knowledge and skills of this beautiful art but will also enjoy many precious moments of calm and meditation.

Summer camp in Livermore Bothwell Arts Center

The classes below are for people who have little or no experience with East Asian brush painting or Calligraphy. Students will learn basic skills of brush painting with a focus on the beauty of nature. In each session I will choose a topic to demonstrate a brush painting technique in a step-by-step approach. Welcome to join my classes to get comfort and calm in these turbulent times!
