Lisa Rigge will be giving a demo and workshop on hand coloring black and white digital photographs. This workshop will cover the use of Pan Pastels and colored pencils to color the image.

Pan Pastels are soft pastels in a round plastic container that are easy and forgiving to work with. We will have Pan Pastels, colored pencils and applicators available for you to use, along with digital photographs to practice on. However, feel free to bring your own photographs to work on. Epson Ultra-Premium Presentation Matte Paper is an inexpensive paper to use for this process. It is available from Amazon. Lisa also plans to have an experiential demo on mixing pastels with wet medium before applying it to your photograph. She will have the necessary supplies if you wish to play a little bit with this method as well. She continues to explore various ways of hand coloring. Lisa has been hand coloring photography for many years. She recently had a one of her hand-colored photographs published in 3Elements in May, 2022.Other photographs of hers have been published in Lens Work and The Sun Magazine.

The workshop is open to artists 18 and older. Open to all levels. Class size minimum needed is 7 artists with a maximum of 12 artists total for this workshop.
