May Yin Giang
May is a self-taught artist who has graduated from the University of Southern California in
Cinema-Television Production with an emphasis in film and sound editing.
May has always worked in a creative environment from post production studios to digital media newsrooms and municipal communications departments to an art director and digital media artist for a local cartoonist.
Interwoven in her career paths, May has her own digital and fine art online business - Katoli Designs.
For over 30 years, she has freelanced and created for many companies on the West Coast, working on projects such as:
custom designs for book covers, company logos, menus for bakeries, wedding invitations & wine labels
website design and implementation
periodical publications including school district newsletters, catalogs & brochures
direct mail marketing including postcards, flyers and social media designs
murals and public art displays
art commissions
May is also a member of the Dublin Arts Collective and the Pleasanton Art League and creates art in the Tri-Valley area with the Casual Dublin Plein Air group, Contra Costa Plein Air Group and Jade Fon Painters.
May’s fine art career includes using watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, oil, acrylic, charcoal, pen and pencil. She loves details and is always learning new mediums.
