Rodger Moody

I was born in Arcata California, raised in Myers Flat and Redway Ca. My dad was a logger and my mom raised and managed 6 kids in the country with not a lot of rules but many life lessons. My siblings (even Mom) built our family home there. So, I guess you’d say that working and designing with wood has always been a part of my life. In fact, nature continues to be very important and satisfying to me.

In 2021, I was looking for wood patterns to make my granddaughters a couple puzzles. I came across a wood art like puzzle making called “Intarsia”. I was intrigued and decided to give that a try.

I made a little goldfish and was hooked. I bought a few patterns and then began making my own patterns based on my love for nature.

Today I do both as there are very nice patterns available, but I get a greater sense of accomplishment in making a complete project on my own.

I hope God grants me the ability to do this for a long time and feel blessed that I discovered this Wood Art especially now that I am retired.
